Challenges

There are few of challenges that we have experienced while doing our business.

       Firstly, there are many competitors out there selling the same product. To compete with them, we need to know how to attract customer attention towards our product. We make an advertisement that would at least attract them and our different sizes of packaging with a reasonable prices. Also, we need to make sure the packaging itself would attract customers and must be sealed completely.

       The most challenging issue is customer satisfaction. Some customer requested to make the Popia Nestum to be more sweet, some requested to make it less sweet. Different people has different preferences. As a seller, we might not be able to fulfill all customer based on their preferences, but we try our best to satisfy our customers. Customer satisfaction is our priority.

       Regarding to our poster, there's a lack of information that customers would like to see, such as the differences between these three sizes (in grams) and a contact number for them to reach out. We had to edit our poster again with complete information so the customers able to reach out to us. Also, it might lead us to miscommunication with our customer.

       Next issue is the change of packaging sizes. Based on our experienced with snack food, it will be high demand during seasonal trend, "Hari Raya Aidilfitri". This is because this season is when everyone want to purchase snack food as "Kuih Raya" to be serve to their guests. Initially, we were aiming for people to purchase the big size because we wanted to get high sales. It was a challenge for us to persuade people to buy it.

       Another issue is that our product is a snack food, which only encourage customers to purchased RM 1.50 of 50 g and RM 4.00 of 100 g instead of RM 20.00 of 200 g. We have noticed that many customers would only want to buy small and medium size. It was a mistake for us to set the big size to be RM 20.00 so we had to change the price and packaging size into RM 10.00 of 150 g. That is why we had to change the pricing and the grams. As a result, we received a lot of order from people to with the big size (RM 10 of 150 g).
